A Glastonbury Chair
In the workshop today we have a customer’s Glastonbury chair for repair. This chair is almost certainly from the late 1800’s tho’ named after The Tudor period’s Bishop of Glastonbury.
It has obvious damage with broken parts. Here is a broken wedge.
And a split back panel.
There are also signs of glue failure.
We’ll report back when work begins on this job.
