Why Volunteer?
Volunteering at Provision House has many benefits, not only for us, but for you:
- Helping others is a rewarding way of spending your time, because it is our God given nature to help others.
- You’ll be able to make new friends, with like minded people
- It will give you a sense of purpose
- It will enable you to apply your skills and knowledge in a new context, knowing you’ll be making a worth while contribution.
What Could You Get Involved In?
At Provision House, there are many different areas where you can come and volunteer in, which include:
- Volunteer in our Charity Store called the “Provision Emporium”
- You could help on the shop floor.
- Be the one receiving and sorting donations.
- Help doing displays.
- If you are good with people you could offer your time as a customer service representative.
- Volunteer in our Warehouse
- You could be fixing Items that have arrived at our warehouse
- Sorting and storing items that have been donated
- You your skills to upcycle, upholster furniture
- PAT test our electrical items
- Transport and Logistics
- You can go out on the van’s accompanying our drivers
- Become one of our drivers, collecting or delivering essential items to our customers.
- Volunteer in our administration Offices
- Help to take and make calls to our clients that need our help
- Help us to do our evaluations from customers
- Get involved with a Social Media channels
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for that Special Individual that can give of their Time and or Expertise to support our charity functions.
This would suit individuals that are Retired, but want to contribute to helping people in poverty. Or as part of their work-life can give of their expertise to help develop the charity.
Please note, if you are on Job Seeker or Universal Credit, volunteering would not be suitable. This is because we have a unique training and work-placement program to offer you, that will enable you to move into employment or education. To Find out more, please click on the button below:
