A gentleman aged 69 was referred to Provision House for help with furniture. He had previously been lodging with a family until they asked him to move out, as they needed his room due to their expanding family.
He searched for a new home and was finally supported by an organisation that helped him to secure a property. He only had a couple of items of furniture that he owned, along with his clothes to take with him and so another charity referred him for support and a package of items was delivered to him.

The whole package of furniture was a real help to him at the time, making the new property feel much more like his home, also providing him with some stability. He was especially happy with the quality of the sofa provided, that made a lot of difference to his comfort there in the first few weeks.
He had struggled for a while and our support saved him from the added burden of a lot of time and expense searching for suitable items in charity shops. Having this good start has enabled him to add a few items of furniture, replace a few items and even pass some items on to others in need.
