On Wednesday the 4th of February, we were excited to receive a visit from Mr Scott Perry. We were excited because he was bringing us back the original 1963 steering wheel which he had been restoring for us.

Tension mounted as he approached with a large white box. Inside was plenty of bubble wrap to protect the wheel. We slowly unwrapped it to reveal a masterpiece of work.

Before, the wood was split and poorly repaired the three aluminium arms tarnished and the lacquered finish applied with a brush.

Now the wheel was a thing of beauty. Wood finish restored, the lacquer was like looking into deep water and the metal was highly polished. Just superb!
